About Stephanie

"Our pets are as varied and unique as the multitude of colors we see. They possess personalities, quirks, and moods just like we do. If art is about truth, then surely our beloved companions deserve a portrait as vibrant as they are."

I was raised and currently reside in the San Francisco Bay Area. I graduated from Santa Clara University with a B.A. in English, emphasis on Writing. Come January 2008, I will be back in the classroom for my MBA.

StudioPet emerged from my love for my own pets (visit the Meet the Mascots page), and from my fascination with the animal form. In addition to creating portraits of client's pets, I also do wall murals - most recently for Paws Mahal Doggie Daycare in San Jose, Ca. To view the murals, click here.

When I'm not in the studio painting, I can be found in the AKC show ring with my French Bulldog, Chubby, organizing social events for Pug and Frenchie owners through Meetup.com, or plodding away at my first novel. I enjoy sharing my experience and the research I've done on dog diets, behavior, showing, breeds, etc. If any of these topics interest you, stop by the Extras page for some of the writing I've done (in progress).
